The two teams are taking part in the Peterborough heat of the annual Lego challenge, which will see pupils from primary and secondary schools working hard to secure a place in the regional heats.

We will soon begin our preparations for our Christmas activities. I will send out a ‘Countdown to Christmas’ before long so that you will be able to see which activities your child will be involved in along with the details of those activities.
During this half-term I anticipate visits from Mrs Rich, our new Year 3/4 teacher from January, and Mr Hope. Mrs Rich is currently a teacher at Fourfields Primary School in Yaxley. Mr Hope, as you already know, will replace me in April. He is currently at the William de Yaxley Junior School. It is pure coincidence that they both work in Yaxley! We welcome them both and hope they will be very happy at Newborough School. During the interview processes all candidates commented on the warmth and friendliness of everyone in the school and our ‘family’ ethos. We look forward to seeing them again soon.
