Tag Rugby

This is their account of the Festival.

We got the coach to Bretton Woods and went into the club house to register and for a chat. After this we went out to do a coaching session. In this session we learnt how to tag properly, how to side step and how to keep a good defensive line.

We were then split into two teams. Mrs Howchin’s team had a difficult 1st game, they went 1 – 0 down, and then we went 1 – 1 but then ended up loosing 3 -1. The second game, they won 3 – 1 after a great team performance. The third game was lost 3 – 2 as the defensive line wasn’t as good as it had been. Going to the final game we really wanted to win so pulled together and ended up winning 1 – 0.

Mr Pasqualino’s team went 1 -0 down early on in the game, but then came back strongly and scored 3 trys, they lost there concentration slightly and conceded again, but ended up winning 3 – 2. The second game was really close throughout and ended as a draw 3 – 3. The third game was won 3 – 1 after another great team performance. The fourth game was very difficult and the team were starting to tire, but they pulled together and won 3 - 2. The final game was a must-win, and again was very close, it was eventually lost 1 – 0, (this was against the team who ended up finishing 2nd over all).
