SEND Offer

We are small nurturing school which offers all children quality first teaching as a school we also offer a range of individualized programmes and equipment to support children with SEND.

All children get support that is specific to their individual needs at the current time. This can be supported by the class teacher, teaching assistant or SENCo, but it may also involve other external agencies and professional, for example Speech and Language therapists.

A child has SEND if they have a learning difficulty or disability which calls for special educational provision to be in place for them. This means they have a significantly greater difficulty in learning than the majority of others of the same age, or has a disability which prevents or hinders them to learn. To understand what support and services are available in Peterborough to help with your child’s needs you can view the “local offer” for children and young people with SEND: www.peterborough.gov.uk/residents/special-educational-needs/local offer/

If you would like to speak to our SENCo (Miss Driscoll is in charge of SEN EYFS/KS1 and Miss Blyth for KS2) then please contact the school office. Your child’s class teacher will also be happy to help with any concerns or queries you may have.

The school SEND Information report below provides some details of what we do here at Newborough, along with our SEND policy and accessibility policy.
