Goodbye & Good Luck

In a special assembly this morning Mrs Davis made presentations to wish several members of staff well.

First to each receive a bouquet as well as a bridal tiara and veil were our three brides-to-be Miss Sanderson, Miss O'Brien and Mrs Huthwaite. We wish them all every happiness for the future.

We then said thank you and goodbye to Mrs Hamlyn who has taught Y3/4 for the last two terms. We also said thank you and goodbye to Mrs Whiting who has now taken up a permanent post as deputy head at Peakirk-cum-Glinton. They were both presented with bouquets and presents.

Finally we said 'au revoir' to Mrs Huthwaite as she takes early retirement. Mrs Huthwaite has taught at Newborough for 16 years. She was presented with flowers and presents from staff, children and parents. She has promised to come and see us all soon. We all wish her a happy retirement as well as every happiness for the future as Mrs Lewis.

Yesterday, the class of 2009 performed a farewell play in front of children, staff and parents before being presented with a dictionary and thesaurus. We all wish them well as they go onto their secondary schools.
