Dear Parent/Carers,
Notification of School Meal Price Increase
I am writing to inform you that, after meeting with our catering providers, we are implementing a price increase with effect from 20th February 2023. The cost of this increase means that a KS2 meal price will rise from £2.30 to £2.55 per day, £12.75 per week.
Please note there has not been an increase in prices from our caterers since 2018, and we have worked hard with them to maintain the price for a number of years, but the rising cost of ingredients and staffing has necessitated this increment.
A school meal continues to offer good value for money as well as contributing to the well-being of children whilst at school. The Government has pledged continued support for the Universal Infant Free School Meals Project; this means that all children from Foundation Stage to Year 2 continue to be entitled to free meals, and only KS2 children are required to pay for meals.
If you have any queries regarding this, please contact the school office in the first instance.
Yours sincerely,
Mrs R Marrs
Headteacher
