Our Curriculum

At Newborough CofE Primary School, our curriculum is designed to nurture the whole child - intellectually, socially and spiritually - so that every pupil can grow in confidence, develop a love of learning and become a valued member of our community.

Our broad and ambitious curriculum provides strong foundations in reading, writing and mathematics, alongside rich learning across the wider curriculum. Through carefully sequenced learning and meaningful experiences, we aim to build children’s knowledge, skills, creativity and curiosity. We adapt our teaching to meet individual needs and work closely with families to ensure every child is supported and challenged to achieve their best.

We enrich learning through Forest School sessions across the school, local visits and links with our church and community, helping children connect their learning to the world around them.

Explore the subject pages below to find out what children learn and how each subject is taught across the school. For information about learning in your child’s year group, please visit our class pages.

If you would like to discuss our curriculum further,  please contact the school office via office@newborough.pdet.org.uk.
