Pupil Advocacy

At Newborough CofE Primary School, we want every child to know that their voice matters and that they can make a positive difference. Through our pupil advocacy roles, children have opportunities to share ideas, represent others and help shape school life. These roles develop confidence, responsibility and leadership, encouraging pupils to put our Christian values into action and contribute to our school and wider community.

House Captains

Every year, eight Year 6 pupils take on the role of being House Captains. Each House has two Captains who their House members vote for. House Captains are responsible for representing their House and counting up the weekly House Point tokens.

Peer Mediators

Peer mediation is a voluntary process in which a student trained as a neutral third party helps other students in conflict get clear about their concerns, better understand one another, and come to a mutual agreement about how they want to handle their issues.

Young Leaders

Our Young Leaders were voted in to their post following a manifesto from the candidates who put themselves forward.  The children chose who they wanted to represent their class and the children meet monthly to share reports about areas for development in the school and are fundamental in getting children’s voices heard for positive change to be seen.
