Extra Curricular
At various times of year, different clubs run for specific purposes, such as preparing for an inter-school challenge or festival. We look for opportunities to extend and challenge our pupils by taking part in many other events whenever possible.
Music Lessons
Individual & Small Group Music Lessons
Clarinet, Flute, Piano, Recorder, Violin & Music Theory
Lessons take place in school during the day
Lessons are taught individually or in groups of two or three pupils
Lessons cost from £5.85 per week (group cost)
Children learn to read music as part of the lesson
Free instrument loan of violin, flute and clarinet is available from the Peterborough Music Hub
To learn piano and recorder you should have your own instrument
Piano is only taught individually, from £8.75 per week
Group lessons will only run if at least two children want to learn the same instrument
Youngest recommended starting age:
- Violin, Recorder & Piano - Year 1
- Flute & Clarinet - Year 3

We are delighted to confirm that Youth Dreams Project (Y.D.P) will be delivering our after school Dodgeball Club KS2 is available on Monday afternoons from 3:15 pm to 4:15 pm.

Thursday Afternoons - EDA Street Dance
Street Dance Club is run by an external provider called Encore Dance Academy.
Newborough School Street Dance Club EDA are pleased to announce that the Street Dance Club will be returning after the Summer holiday. Classes start on Thursday 14th September 2023.
Class Details:
When: Thursdays (14th September 2023 – 19th October 2023)
Time: After school 3:20 - 4:30pm
Where: Main School Hall
Attire: PE Kit/Dance Kit with clean indoor trainers
Open to Year 1- Year 6 £24.00 per child (6 week term)
How to book a Street Dance club place:
- Please email: encoredanceacademy@hotmail.co.uk to request a place
- Please include the child’s full name and year group
- Please let us know if they will be collected/attend Kidzclub/or Y6 can walk home alone
- Places will be allocated on a first come first basis(there are limited places)
- Parents will receive an email to say if your child has been allocated a place
- If your child receives Pupil Premium please let us know in your email
Friday Afternoons - All Years Gymnastics
We are delighted to confirm that Youth Dreams Project (Y.D.P) will be delivering our after school Gymnastics Club, available for students in All Years, on Friday afternoons from 3:15 pm to 4:15 pm.
