Extra Curricular
At various times of year, different clubs run for specific purposes, such as preparing for an inter-school challenge or festival. We look for opportunities to extend and challenge our pupils by taking part in many other events whenever possible.
Music Lessons
Newborough C of E Primary school are pleased to announce that once again children will have the opportunity to learn a musical instrument. JMP Music currently provide experienced and dedicated teachers who come into school covering a variety of different instruments, and there are opportunities for children to start learning.

Instruments
JMP Music don’t currently offer instruments, so these will have to be provided by parents. However, there are lots of affordable options for both hiring and purchasing. The website www.jmpmusic.co.uk can provide more details.
How to Enrol?
If your child would like to start learning an instrument, please use and complete the following link:-

Please select lesson type and monthly/termly option and click ‘Join waiting list’

Monday Afternoons - Cheerleading All Year Groups
We are delighted to confirm that Youth Dreams Project (Y.D.P) will be delivering our Cheerleading Club after school on Monday afternoons from 3:20pm to 4:20pm.
Spaces are limited, booking period Wednesday 25th March - Friday 10th April 2026
Please note there is a fee for Cheerleading Club of £1.00 per session.
Start Date: Monday 13th April 2026
End Date: Monday 18th May 2026
Children will need to wear appropriate clothing for all weather conditions and bring a drink.

Newborough School Street Dance Club Year 1 to Year 6
EDA are pleased to announce that the Street Dance Club will be starting classes again on Thursday 11th September

When: Thursdays
Time: After school 3:20 - 4:30pm
Where: Main School Hall Attire: PE Kit/Dance Kit with clean indoor trainers.
This club is open to Years 1-6
How to book a Street Dance club place:
• Please email: encoredanceacademy@hotmail.co.uk to request a place
• Please include the child’s full name and year group
• Please let us know if they will be collected/attend Kidzclub/Y6 can walk home alone
• Places will be allocated on a first come first basis(there are limited places)
• Please email EDA by Wednesday 10th September to book your child’s place
• Parents will receive an email to confirm the place with the payment details
